The Shasta County Republican Central Committee is an elected and appointed body composed of:
21 members elected by registered Republicans at the Presidential Primary election every four years
3 Republican Congressional and California Legislative officeholders who represent Shasta County residents
Current Status of the Committee
Regular Members of the Shasta County Republican Central Committee were elected in 2020. These members serve for four years, representing the five Supervisorial Districts (pre-reapportionment lines) in Shasta County.
Those who were elected in the March 5, 2024 Primary will be seated for their four-year term at the January 2025 Organizing Meeting. Vacancies are filled by a vote of the current Committee.
The three ex-officio members representing our members of the U.S. House of Representatives in Congress, the CA State Senate, and the CA State Assembly are appointed by the office holders.
