Check Your Voter Registration

Check your voter registration
Reasons to check your voter registration, and make sure you’re registered Republican:

The Motor Voter program has been mismanaged by the DMV and thousands of voters have either been unregistered, or their Party preference has been changed.

In order to vote Republican in a California Presidential Primary, you must be registered Republican.

Under total Democrat leadership, the State of California has become unaffordable, with high taxes, poorly performing schools, rising crime rates, and widespread homelessness. Show them they’re going in the wrong direction by walking away from the Democrat Party.

About California Primary Elections

The two candidates receiving the most votes, regardless of party preference, move on to the general election.

It is often called a "jungle primary", "open primary", or top-two primary.  Voters approved this by 53% in 2010.

BE STRATEGIC!
We often tell people to vote their conscience in the primary.
That's bad advice in this type of system!
It likely results in a Nov general election ballot containing all Democrats.

NOW is the time.
Be pragmatic. Get Republican options on the ballot this November!

Why it matters.
When there are no Republicans on the November ballot in important races, Republicans often become disheartened and decline to vote. THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER.

NOTE:
California's open primary system does not apply to candidates running for county, or local offices and some special elections (Congressional District 1 on June 2, 2026).

What is Ballot Harvesting?
  • Prior to 2013, a voter had to be ill or disabled for someone else to return their ballot for them. Plus, that person had to be a family member or a member of the same household.
  • After 2013, the law was changed. Being ill or disabled was no longer required. A family member or a member of one’s household could return ballots.
  • In 2016, the law changed again. Now, anyone may return another person’s ballot and there is no limit on how many ballots a person may return.

Is it legal?
  • YES

Why do it?
  • Too many of our friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers just don't make the effort to vote on election day. Many forget to mail their ballot.

How does it work?
  • You can NOT fill out someone else's ballot or sign it for them.
  • You absolutely CAN complete the information on the envelope and deliver it for them.
  • Make a big difference in this important election by turning out the vote!
